Welcome to
Welcome to BALTIC SEAPLANE. We are an approved aviation company (D-SH 004 AOC), an approved training organization (DE.SH.004.ATO) under the supervision of the Schleswig-Holstein Aviation Authority and a flight school under the Thai Aviation Authority (CAAT.FTO-0036) and offer EASA compliant SEP (Sea) and SET (Sea) ratings.
In addition to pilot training, we are one of the last remaining providers of seaplane sightseeing flights in Germany, offering flights over the Flensburg Fjord, Ribnitz-Damgarten, Stralsund, Heringsdorf and the Mecklenburg Lake District.

Experience water take-off and landing at first hand – your own! Even without a pilot’s license. For pilots, the flight hour is counted towards the rating.
Easa Sep/SET (Sea)

Our focus is on EASA-compliant seaplane training and training for the SEP (Sea) class rating as well as advanced training in SET (Sea) and open-water operations.
The renewal of your SEP (land) class rating or a proficiency check can also be carried out with our amphibious aircraft or our land aircraft.
Through our work with international pilots, we have extensive experience in the registration of EASA ratings across national borders.
Most of the training takes place on our Cessna 172P Amphibian, supplemented by advanced training on the Lake LA-4 Buccaneer flying boat. Our training areas range from sheltered waters to challenging coastal and open-water conditions on the Baltic coast.

Seaplane license
Acquire, maintain or renew your SEP (Sea) seaplane rating with us.
- Prerequisite is PPL (A), LAPL (A), CPL (A) or ATPL (A).
- Sport boat license is not a requirement, but of course helpful.
- Duration of training: approx. 4-5 days, including test flight. Depending on wind, weather and waves.

Process:
- Theoretical instruction incl. textbook and test,
- 8 block hours of training on our Cessna 172P amphibian,
- Test flight with flight examiner (A).
- Our all-inclusive offer: 4428€ incl. VAT
- We always adapt your training to your individual previous knowledge and are as flexible as possible when it comes to your time preferences!
- Once training has begun, it must be completed within 6 months in accordance with EASA regulations!
- Can also be conducted in English.
- The seaplane license can also be purchased as a voucher.
