Baltic Seaplane GmbH is an approved training organization (ATO) of the Schleswig-Holstein Aviation Authority (DE.SH.ATO.004) for EASA-compliant licenses and ratings as well as an approved flight school (FTO 0036) under the Thai aviation authority CAAT.
Our focus is on professional seaplane training under real coastal and open-water conditions. The basic training takes place mainly on our Cessna 172P Amphibian (floatplane). Also ideal for refreshing skills or after long breaks from flying.
The introductory flight – often referred to as a trial flight – is the easiest way to get to know the world of seaplanes.
You sit at the controls yourself and get a first insight into flying on the water – accompanied by an experienced flight instructor.
It’s not just about the experience, but above all about developing a feeling for the special requirements of water flying.
For many pilots, this flight is one of the most interesting and memorable entries in the logbook.
The flight is documented as flight time and can be credited towards a later seaplane rating (SEP Sea) or – with the appropriate flight time (e.g. 90 minutes) – be used to extend your SEP (land) class rating.
This combines a necessary refresher course with a completely new flying experience.
Let us know which training course you are planning. We will get back to you personally and discuss the most suitable implementation.
