At Baltic Seaplane you can experience the seaplane in two different ways – as a sightseeing flight over coasts and seascapes or at the controls under the guidance of a flight instructor. Even without flying experience or a license.
Baltic Seaplane is an approved air carrier (AOC D-SH 004) and an approved training organization (DE.SH.004.ATO) under the supervision of the Schleswig-Holstein Aviation Authority as well as a flight school under the Thai Aviation Authority (CAAT.FTO-0036).
In addition to professional EASA-compliant seaplane training, we also offer seaplane sightseeing flights and trial flights where guests can take the controls themselves – even without a license.
Our sightseeing flights, trial flights and training courses take off from various locations along the Baltic Sea coast and the Mecklenburg Lake District.
You take a seat in the pilot’s seat and take the controls together with an experienced flight instructor – from preparing for the flight and taking off on the water to flying along the coast or over the lake landscape.
The trial flight is aimed at beginners with no previous experience as well as pilots who want to improve their skills or are looking for a seaplane license.
Our events combine the fascination of water flying with selected regions and special perspectives. You can find an overview of all dates and locations on our events page.

Gears Up for Water Landing
Our focus is on EASA-compliant seaplane training as well as training and renewal of the SEP (Sea) class rating.
We also offer advanced training in SET (sea) and demanding open-water operations.
The renewal of your SEP (land) class rating and proficiency checks can also be carried out with our amphibious aircraft or our land aircraft.
Our work with international pilots has given us extensive experience in registering EASA ratings across national borders.
The training takes place mainly on our Cessna 172 Amphibian and is supplemented by advanced training content on the Lake LA-4 Buccaneer flying boat. Our training areas range from sheltered waters to challenging coastal and open-water conditions on the Baltic Sea.
