The flight
From the start on the Binnenmüritz, the flight takes you over the northern part of the Müritz as well as Kölpinsee and Fleesensee - from the water into the air and back onto the lake.
The take-off run begins on the water. The aircraft turns into the wind and picks up speed.
As the speed increases, the hull lifts out of the water until the moment comes when the surface takes over and the Müritz remains below you.
From the water to the air
From the air, the structure of the landscape becomes recognizable in all its vastness – boats, shorelines and the continuous expanse of water.
The sightseeing flight takes you along the Müritz via Klink to the island town of Malchow, following the course of the lake landscape.
From this perspective, the action on the water is complemented by a calm view from above, in which the individual elements combine to form an overall picture.
The landing takes place on the water again – a transition back into the movement of the lake.

The Müritz is the largest inland lake in Germany and part of the Mecklenburg Lake District – one of the most extensive water landscapes in Europe.
From the air, you can see how lakes, canals and shorelines connect with each other. Places like Klink and the island town of Malchow are nestled between water and forest.
The sightseeing flight in a seaplane shows this structure from a perspective that cannot be experienced from the ground.
Course of training
The process on the water
Before the flight, there is a short briefing on the water in which the most important procedures are explained.
The aircraft then moves from the jetty over the water surface to the take-off position. The take-off does not take place from a fixed runway, but along an open water surface, depending on the wind and conditions.
As the speed increases, the aircraft lifts out of the water and goes into a circular flight. After landing on the water, it is maneuvered back to the jetty.
The procedure on the water depends on wind and conditions and can change slightly in individual cases.

The seaplane
The sightseeing flight is operated with a Cessna 172P Amphibian which is specially equipped for operation on water.
The aircraft is equipped with Wipaire 2350 floats, which enable take-offs and landings on both water surfaces and hard runways. The aircraft is powered by a 180 hp engine, which enables a smooth and stable flight over the lake landscape.
The design allows a good all-round view, so that the structure of the Mecklenburg Lake District clearly recognizable from the air.

Who the flight is suitable for
The sightseeing flight is aimed at passengers with no previous flying experience and takes place as a flight in a certified aircraft.
The seaplane used offers space for up to two people. Due to the operational conditions, the total weight of the passengers is limited to 180 kg.
The flight over water is generally calm, as there is less thermal movement over water than over land.
The implementation depends on the weather conditions. Wind and water conditions in particular can affect the schedule, meaning that adjustments or postponements may be necessary in individual cases.

How long does the sightseeing flight last?
The flight time is 20 minutes. It covers the entire process from starting the engine to stopping it after landing.
The time for boarding, briefing and the procedures on the water before and after the flight are added to this.
Can we influence the route ourselves?
When booking with two people, individual requests can be accommodated within the flight time.
What happens in bad weather?
The implementation depends on the weather conditions.
If a flight cannot be operated safely, an alternative date will be arranged or the voucher can be redeemed at a later date.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing appropriate to the weather conditions is recommended.
Depending on the wind, it can be a little cooler on the water. It is warm in the plane itself.
