Together with a flight instructor, you take a seat in the pilot’s seat of an amphibious aircraft and experience take-off, flight and water landing from the pilot’s perspective. 35, 45 or 90 minutes – depending on the desired flight duration.
For pilots, the flight time can be credited towards the SEP (Sea) seaplane rating. It can also be used for training flights or the extension of the SEP (Land) class rating if the flight time is 90 minutes.

The introductory flight – often referred to as a trial flight – is the easiest way to get to know the world of seaplanes.
You sit at the controls yourself and get a first insight into flying on the water – accompanied by an experienced flight instructor.
It’s not just about the experience, but above all about developing a feeling for the special requirements of water flying.
For many pilots, this flight is one of the most interesting and memorable entries in the logbook.
The flight is documented as flight time and can be credited towards a later seaplane rating (SEP Sea) or – with the appropriate flight time (e.g. 90 minutes) – be used to extend your SEP (land) class rating.
This combines a necessary refresher course with a completely new flying experience.
